About the Partnership
When communities around the world faced unprecedented levels of food insecurity during the pandemic, The Eyes & Ears Agency connected Erez Zobary to a local Toronto initiative, Community Fridges Toronto, to lend her efforts and platform to help their cause. The Community Fridges run on a ‘take what you need and leave what you don’t’ basis and are stocked by the community, for the community. The partnership manifested in a virtual Pay What You Can Instagram live concert, where funds raised went directly to purchasing groceries that stocked multiple fridges around the city. The campaign successfully raised funds and awareness for the local initiative, which has garnered much momentum and attention in local news. CBC News also featured Erez’s partnership in an article highlighting the connection between music and community - emphasizing that artists can be leaders in the community & lead the way for important work.
